6 Amenities & Attractions that Families Flip for at Zota Beach Resort
Just because Zota Beach Resort is lauded as a luxury property touting modern and stylish architectural touches and accommodations, don’t misinterpret that to read as “not suitable for children.” In fact, families are often surprised to discover all amenities that naturally cater to kids. Here are a few they describe as their favorite.

Sweet Suites
Families often opt for the one- or two-bedroom suites located in the Escalera Building because, with a maximum square footage of 1,165 feet, these spacious rooms come packed with all the amenities of a home away from home that you’d need for minding little ones – think full-sized sleeper sofa, kitchenette, and four-chair dinette. While you have your choice of suites with a view of the beach, resort, or pool, it’s the latter than kids love they become memorized watching other families’ antics down at the aquatic oasis. Parents love it, too, but more so that they can plan a pool trip around how busy the scene looks.
A Pool Primed for Playing
The sun-drenched pool deck comes lined with comfortable lounge chairs surrounding an infinity-edge pool that’s easy for little ones to wade into. Easy, unobstructed slights lines throughout the whole area make keeping an eye out easy, while parents grab a drink at Cascades Pool Bar, or, better yet, have it brought to them by the wait staff. Not to mention, there’s usually also a life-size chess or checkerboard, plus floatable pool toys on hand (but not currently available to borrow at this time) to maximize playtime.
Poolside Lounges Perfect for a Family Headquarters
Also located within the pool area, a series of private cabanas, known as the resort’s Zen Lounges, serve as an ideal spot to set up camp for a day spent bouncing between the beach and pool. Each outfitted with a plush pillow-adorned couch, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and flat-screen (great for dads not wanting to miss football Sundays), it’s perfect for storing diapers, toys, and other kiddie essentials under cover (there’s even a safe for valuables). And when a little one gets tired or hungry or simply needs some quiet time, snoozing on the couch or having Cascades deliver a meal comes easy.
Beach Bonuses
We’ve certainly never met a kid who didn’t like the beach. Still, to maximize time on this beautiful stretch of powder-soft white sand overlooking the Gulf, the resort also rents out kayaks and paddleboards here for $35 an hour – great for older kids. There’s also queen-sized daybeds topped with cabanas – again, a nice spot for parents to snuggle a snoozing child while the rest of the family plays in the ocean.
Sundries Shop for the Things You Forget
Left the super-high SPF sunscreen or water wings at home? A gift shop off the lobby carries family essentials and stocks everything else from ice cream bars to Zota Beach Resort bathrobes.
Dining They’ll Actually Like
The on-site Viento Kitchen + Bar may be better known as a trendy restaurant and wine bar serving “Floribbean” cuisine, but kids can still find their favorites on the menu, like chips and salsa, wings, turkey BLTs, and quesadilla (all of which are also available Cascades Pool Bar). But the favorite meal of the day for kids in Viento might just be breakfast for the towering stack of buttermilk pancakes that come with their choice of chocolate chips or blueberries, plus whip cream in the form of face for those not shy enough to ask for it.
