Doing Up Dinner 3 Ways at Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa
Newly opened, Latitudes – Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa’s signature restaurant – may be one of the most exciting restaurants to hit Palm Beach County in recent years. Not only is it the sole restaurant in town that affords a view of the ocean, but it also boasts a vibrant new bar and lounge anchored with a spirit mixing room and chef’s seafood galley and a stunning main sail dining room with a sweeping outdoor veranda. That said, it’s certainly not the only place to get your eat on at this Jupiter resort. In fact, here are three ways to do dinner differently during a stay.
Upscale Comfort Food at The Sandbar
The tiki bar gets an elegant upgrade in the resort’s poolside Sandbar restaurant: Instead of wooden posts supporting a thatched-roof bar, this version features stacked stone pillars, a shingled peaked roof, and a sleek concrete bar top. Settle into one of the 16 chairs surrounded by blazing tiki torches and order from the menu boasting artisan cheese and charcuterie, modern greens, and New York strip steak. We suggest the Santorini chicken, starring roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, portobello mushroom, baby arugula, and kalamata tapenade over a hearty slice of grilled herb focaccia, but not before first saving the signature pineapple and raspberry-flavored Sunset Lemonade, featuring New Amsterdam Vodka.
Fresh Florida Seafood at Latitudes
With dishes that focus on Florida’s abundance of fresh ingredients and seafood, the resort’s signature restaurant, Latitudes is quickly making a name for itself as one of Jupiter’s best restaurants – not to mention, it’s the only one with an oceanfront view. A multi-faceted space, you have your choice of dining in the little nooks of the dining room accented with driftwood and living green walls, at the vibrant new bar and lounge featuring a seafood galley and mixing room, or on the sweeping outdoor verandah overlooking the resort’s serene stretch of beach. As for what to dine on, tuck into one of the signature entrées, like the crab-crusted Florida grouper, served over a bed of creamy polenta, or the grilled seafood trio, a colorful plate of local catch, tiger and jumbo prawns all accented with seasonal vegetables.
Handhelds & Pizza for a Picnic on the Beach
No need to pack and lug your evening picnic – but maybe bring a blanket to spread? – to the resort’s recently nourished 1,000-foot beach. Serviced by the wait staff from The Sandbar, your meal can be brought to you. We suggest either the flame-grilled angus beef burger or grilled chicken pizza (pine nut pesto topped with fresh mozzarella, asiago cheese, cherry tomatoes, and baby spinach) paired with your choice of an Opal specialty beer, made exclusively for Opal properties (you have your pick of the Lighthouse Tangerine Wheat or the Opal IPA). Or, for those looking for something fancier, try the Strawberry Mo-Tito cocktail. Made with muddled strawberries, limes, mint and basil, Tito’s vodka, and elderflower liqueur, it does double duty as a drink and dessert.
**Please note, due to fluctuating guest capacity restrictions, not all these food items are available seven days a week.
