Take a Ride Around Town
After unpacking, head to our concierge stand to rent your beach cruiser and ride into town! Downtown Key West is located just two miles from the Capitana and you’ll enjoy a 15-minute ride right along the ocean on North Roosevelt Blvd. Once downtown be sure to check out the famous Key West sunset and sunset celebration at Mallory Square!
Morning Family Time
Sleep in and have breakfast on your own time, you’re on island time after all! Our cottages are equipt with everything you need for a full family breakfast including stove top burners, full sized fridge & freezer, cooking & eating utensils, pots & pans, coffee machines, a dishwasher, and a dining room table to seat four people. The best part? There are no cleaning requirements or additional cleaning fees at checkout. Our cottages have all the amenities of a private home rental without the hassle.
Swimming & Sunshine
Spend the day basking in the Florida sunshine! Cottage guests have access to the main pool, as well as access to the private cottage pool. For a more lively atmosphere head down to the main pool where you’ll find hammocks, music & poolside games. If you’re looking for something on the quieter side, take advantage of the private cottage pool. This pool is located along the canal and has jets to put you in the perfect relaxed sunshine state of mind.
Mangroves & Manatees
Enjoy a serene Florida Keys morning on your private patio overlooking the mangrove waters. Mangroves are home to hundreds of species of fish & wildlife such as starfish, sea sponges, and sea turtles. Walk along the dock for a closer look and you may even see a manatee swimming along the canal!
Day Out on the Town
Make the most of your last day in paradise! Head into town & explore the shops & attractions of Old Key West. Visit historic landmarks such as the Mel Fisher Museum and learn the history of The Capitana shipwreck & treasure. View a live historical reenactment at The Shipwreck Museum to see why Key West was once the richest city in the United States, and keep hydrated along the way with tropical drinks along the many historical bars.
The spacious cottages at the Capitana make them ideal for large family vacations. With two bedrooms, a full-sized kitchen & living room, and a dining room with seating for four, you and your family will have enough space to spread out comfortably.
Gather up your crew & celebrate before the big day in style! Each cottage can sleep up to six people. With two bedrooms & two full bathrooms, there’ll be plenty of room for everyone to get ready. For a larger group event, book all ten cottages and enjoy your private resort area. The cottages are located away from the main building & have access to a private pool, making you and your crew feel like you’re on a private resort getaway!
