Today is all about some poolside and beachside R&R. Start your day with a walk along the shoreline, and soak up the surf on our pristine beach. Then, settle into a pair of loungers by our adults-only pool. You won’t have to go far for lunch: Our poolside Tiki Bar offers everything from grilled grouper tacos to skirt steak with chimichurri, plus fresh agave margaritas, mojitos, and frosty rum-based drinks.

After a brief ceremony rehearsal, treat your wedding party to a plated dinner with a side of Lido Key sunset views in one of the private dining rooms at Drift. Afterward, extend the welcome to your guests who’ve traveled from afar by inviting them to our newest venue – the Sunset Sand Garden – for cocktails under the stars and close to the sea. It’s sure to be a night to remember and the perfect way to kick off the festivities.

Begin your wedding day in the great outdoors, enjoying all the ecotourism Lido Key is known for. Within walking distance of the resort, you’ll find an aquatic labyrinth known as mangrove tunnels. Gather your bridal party and explore the crystal-clear waters by kayak or paddleboard, then head back to the resort for a poolside lunch, fueling up for the night of your lives.

You’ve been adventuring all day, but now it’s time to begin one of the greatest adventures of your life. It all starts with a special moment shared between the two of you – sneak away to the resort’s wooden boardwalk, lined with lush tropical foliage, and pause to take in the enormity of the occasion. It’s off to the South Beach, where you’ll say your vows surrounded by your loved ones as the sun dips beneath a Gulf of Mexico horizon. Then, it’s time to celebrate: Your guests can head to the Sunset Sand Garden for cocktails while you and yours take photos beneath a Sarasota sky painted in brilliant sunset hues.

The sun has set, your vows have been said, the Sarasota skyline is starting to twinkle. Take it all in from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the eighth-floor Royal Palm Ballroom. Settle in for a plated dinner full of coastal flavors and local ingredients, then dance the night away with your friends and family. As the evening wanes, give your guests a pick-me-up in the form of late-night snack stations to keep the party going until midnight.

The pressure’s off, and now you can truly visit with your guests, reliving all of the weekend’s magical moments. A farewell brunch in the eighth-floor Sunset Room is the perfect opportunity to do, where you can relax together, mimosas and bloody marys in hand, while surrounded by stunning views of the glittering Gulf of Mexico.

Though some in your party may have to leave paradise to head back to reality, there’s no rush leaving Lido Key. For one, there’s still plenty to do, both on resort and off. Explore the shops and galleries of St. Armands Circle. Take a sunset dinner cruise. Wander Sarasota’s marquee museums. Tee off at championship golf courses. Or just sink into a pair of beachside loungers with a couple of key lime coladas, and take your time easing into your happily ever after.
