Rise with the sun (after all, Clearwater Beach sees 361 days of sun a year), and stroll hand in hand along the beach, which boasts meticulously maintained, super-fine, sugar-white sand (it’s actually raked every morning). Savor the solitude before the arrival of beachgoers and the adventurers who ply the waters with kayaks and paddle-boards, or see if you can catch a glimpse of dolphins and manatees as they frolic in the gentle swells.

After welcoming your wedding party and out-of-town guests, you’ll run through a ceremony rehearsal before hosting a welcome dinner in one of our private Gulf-front event salons, all of which offer private balcony access. After, your group will make their way to the beach to our thatched-roof tiki bar, Sandbar, where you’ll gather around the bordering fire pits for conversation and a game of corn hole. Cap off the night with an Opal IPA from our friends at nearby Deep Blue Brewing or our legendary frozen watermelon mojito before retreating to your suite.

There’s nothing like morning coffee on your private balcony to get you ready for the day ahead. If you’d prefer to take in the sights and sounds of the surrounding area, reserve a pair of complimentary bicycles for a leisurely ride to nearby Sand Key Park, situated on a barrier island between the Gulf and the Florida mainland.
Those looking for a more relaxing start to the day will appreciate the on-site Opal Sands Spa, where the wedding party can experience the ultimate in pampering with manicures, pedicures, and facials. Then, it’s back to your suite to get ready for your walk down the aisle.

After your hair stylist and makeup artist have applied their finishing touches, you’ll descend the winding grand staircase to the lobby for your first look photos, where abundant natural light streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows. But while it’s certainly a thing of beauty, nothing tops what’s to come next: your ceremony. Held on the palm tree–studded Event Lawn on a deck that cantilevers over the Gulf, the site for your exchange of vows is framed by nothing but sky, sea, and the resort’s stunning curved facade. From there, your ceremony flows seamlessly into cocktail hour, with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres and refreshments fetched from either the mosaic-tiled covered bar that borders the lawn or the signature drink station.

After making your grand entrance to the Opal Ballroom – a modern and elegant space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and one-of-a-kind chandeliers that run just about the full length of the space – you’ll dine on specialties such as pan-roasted grouper with roasted tomatoes and capers, or braised rosemary short rib with cabernet demi-glace. After your custom-
designed wedding cake has been served, your band or disc jockey won’t have any trouble keeping the dance floor full as the moon begins its journey high into the sky.

With your wedding weekend coming to a close, you’ll bid farewell to your friends and family at a send-off breakfast or brunch, served buffet style in the Sea Salon. The breakfast package includes a chef-attended omelet station, assorted pastries, and fresh-squeezed orange juice, while the brunch option features carved-to-order New York strip with the traditional accompaniments and breakfast favorites such as eggs benedict and bananas foster french toast.

Once your guests have departed, it’s time to enjoy each other’s company and reflect on your celebration. Adventurous couples might arrange a trip to Caladesi Island State Park, one of the few completely natural islands along the Gulf Coast, where you can kayak through the mangroves, sunbathe on the white sand beach, or try your hand at fishing. Then, it’s back to the resort where you’ll raise a glass to yet another perfect sunset from your lounger at the zero-entry resort pool, with cocktails and light bites from Reflections Pool Bar.
