Adjacent to the beach, the Event Lawn is Opal Sands’ most sought-after outdoor ceremony location. Limitless views of the Gulf of Mexico – and the beach’s renowned cotton candy sunsets – set the scene for a romantic ceremony. The Lawn’s beautiful palm trees against the resort’s curved exterior facade make for an even more picturesque experience. The Event Lawn accommodates up to 150 seated guests and up to 250 guests for receptions.

The Opal Ballroom is our grandest reception venue, at more than 7,600 square feet in size. Its contemporary design, coupled with one-of-a-kind chandeliers, will lend an air of sophistication to your event. The ballroom features floor-to-ceiling windows with some of the best views the resort has to offer, and can be divided into three smaller rooms for more intimate receptions.

The Sea Salons features a private balcony overlooking the zero-entry pool and the sparkling Gulf of Mexico beyond, with a wall of windows that invites the outside in. Appreciate breathtaking sunsets and our luxury zero-entry pool as you host receptions of up to 120 guests.

Yes! You are required to hire a wedding coordinator to ensure you have a flawless day!
Your wedding coordinator is in charge of all of your miscellaneous decor including setup, breakdown and delivery to the wedding suite at the end of the night.
Your event manager is your operational liaison with the resort by coordinating all details with menu planning, tasting, floor plans, set up details for function space, banquet staff, front desk, room reservations, housekeeping and valet.
We highly recommend hiring vendors on our list because they are all professionals who have been here many times to help execute successful weddings. They have also produced the certificate of insurance and approvals needed to work at the resort. Any vendors outside of our list require specific insurance requirements and approval from your event manager.
The Event Lawn can be setup two hours prior to ceremony time. Vendor setup in the reception space will be confirmed with your coordinator from your event manager one week prior to event. Early setup times cannot be guaranteed.
The resort does not provide barstools for your hair and makeup vendors. It is the responsibility of your hair and makeup vendors to bring their own barstools if they need barstools. Your suite will have four comfortable dining chairs, perfect for getting ready.
Dates and space are held with a signed contract and deposit. Your contract deposit schedule is based on the ceremony fee, food and beverage minimum plus service charge and tax. A 25% deposit is due at the time of contract signing. 50% of the remaining deposit is due 6 months prior to the event and 50% of the remaining deposit is due 30 days out. Final payment and guest gaurantee are due no later than seven days prior to your event.
