A Music Hall & Wentworth by the Sea Partership

At The Music Hall Members Club

These aren’t just any old keys

Yes, they are antique brass and iron skeleton keys, previously used to access guest rooms and other spaces at the 150-year-old Wentworth by the Sea in nearby New Castle. But here, in the Members Club at The Music Hall, they symbolize a new kind of key. A key to a new local gathering space for connection and growth within the Greater Seacoast community. A place for patrons to mix and mingle before the start of a show and to linger after over meaningful conversation about the art experience they just collectively shared. A place that unites neighbors and celebrates Portsmouth’s vibrant culture.

As sponsors of the Members Club, Wentworth by the Sea, an Opal Collection resort, is excited to be a part of this new community outpost. Here’s to unlocking countless memories in the Wentworth Room.

Frank Jones Once Owned Both Wentworth by the Sea and The Music Hall

The Portsmouth politician and ale tycoon owned The Music Hall from 1899–1901 and Wentworth by the Sea from 1879–1902. He’s the one responsible for truly making each grand, including the addition of Colonial Revival features, ornate frescoes, steam-powered elevators, and the first flush toilets at Wentworth, as well as the gold-leafed proscenium stage and decorative opera boxes at The Music Hall.
